Ugly Books

Maybe it’s just me but I hate how some books have really plain covers (or should I say no cover at all?). I borrowed this book from my college library and boy was I super excited to read this just by looking at the cover. I have to do a book review for my history of Japan class so I chose Sessue Hayakawa, who is the first Asian to find stardom in the United States. It should be pretty interesting, but I really don’t want to spend my spring break reading 300 pages of words! Bleh, I better start this now before I regret it.
It’s finally going to hit the 50′s this weekend in Massachusetts! I’m so excited because I’m so sick of winter. I need my blue skies, chirping birds, and the bright sunshine!
Oh, and I just got paid $10.50 from Chitika today! It’s a pay-per-click ad program, which you can even click on the ads yourself when you have time so you can earn $$$. It’s my first time being paid through this, but I’m loving it so far! If you decide you join, I’ll be very grateful if you sign up via my referral link!
Still haven’t gotten over Beast’s new songs yet. Too good, too good.

Skin Care Resolutions for 2010

I was on Futurederm and saw this great post about top 10 skin care resolutions for 2010. (Go to her website to read the resolutions in detail.) There are definitely things on that list that I really wish to follow through.
1. Wear sunscreen daily – even in cloudy or overcast weather.
I guess I need to kick it up a notch as I only wear a moisturizer with SPF 15 everyday. It’s recommended to use a SPF of 30 daily.
2. Exercise – it’s good for your skin too!
I definitely need to do this! I’ve been neglecting my exercises lately. I gotta get back on track as I’m gaining weight right now! Eeek!
3. Wash and moisturize your face every night before you go to sleep – and try a silk pillowcase.
Wash and moisturize every night. Check. Silk pillowcase? I need one.
4. Invest in a quality skin care regime.
My skincare routine seems to be working quite well for me right now as I’m not experiencing as much breakouts as before. However, there are many products I would like to try (like getting rid of those scars)!
5. Clean or discard old makeup brushes.
Check, but I guess I gotta do it more often.
6. Make 2010 the year you (yes, YOU!) start seeing a dermatologist.
I definitely want to do this, but it’s hard! I seriously want to see a dermatologist about my chest acne and bacne (ew, gross!). However, I need a referral from my primary doctor or I’ll have to pay big bucks for the dermatologist visit. Maybe I will bring it up during my physical check up in May.
7. Reduce stress, improve your mood, see the bright side.
Working on that…
8. Stop yo-yo dieting.
9. Take a supplement.
I don’t do that. Eeek!
10. Stick to it for 21 days! Hold yourself accountable – write it down.
Definitely want to do that for exercising!
2010 Fighting!
